About Us
Armenian Biodiversity Information and Education Center (Ecoepicenter) is a part of the Department of Conservation of Genetic Resources of Armenian Flora, Institute of Botany after A.Takhtajyan of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. It is located on the territory of Yerevan Botanical Garden. The main goals of the Ecoepicenter are: education and awareness raising on biodiversity and the importance of its conservation, research and ex situ conservation of native plant species of Armenia.
What We Do
CONSERVATION AND SCIENCE
The Ecoepicenter is established due to efforts of the staff of Institute of Botany after A. Takhtajyan of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, thus scientific methods and scientifically justified data form the base of the Ecocenter’s work. It serves both as a public and as a research center.
EDUCATION
We value the importance of sharing the scientific knowledge with public through our website, social networks, mass media as well as by offering learning opportunities through exhibitions, excursions, workshops and lectures and also, by involving volunteers and collaboration with co-minded individuals and organizations.
