It is distributed over vast territories, from Western Europe to the Far East and Japan. Also, this type of fatworm is found in the northeastern United States and Canada. The most favorable conditions for growth are wet areas: swampy meadows, wet rocky slopes, shallow lakes and damp meadows.
What does it eat?
A carnivorous plant that feeds on living insects! Attracted by the sweet juice, the insect sticks to the leaf and can no longer get out. Thus, it becomes prey for the plant, which is used to getting nitrogen and other nutrients not from the soil, but in its own peculiar, predatory way.
