On the 8th of September, a scientific meeting was held at the Ecoepicenter.
That was the third day of the first CaBOL workshop in Armenia.
The Caucasus Barcode of Life (CaBOL) is a project realized in the framework of Assessing the Biodiversity of the Caucasus.
The workshop was led by Project experts from Germany: Dr. Nils Hein, Björn Rulik and Jana Thormann.
Workshop participants involved Georgian colleagues from the Ilia State University, colleagues and students of the Chair of Zoology from the Yerevan State University Faculty of Biology and colleagues from the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences (NAS RA), as well as botanists from the host Ա․ A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany of the NAS RA.
At the end of the day, an international team of entomologists (experts on insects) and arachnologists (experts on spiders and other arachnids) collected study material in the Yerevan Botanical Garden.
